About Melaney Loar

Melaney Loar, General Manager and REALTOR®, is dedicated to helping Legacy & Co. Real Estate agents build their business. After 10 years in the industry, she’s discovered that her true passion has always been helping people—and real estate became the place where that passion found its purpose.

Before her real estate career, Melaney built a successful 12-year career in sports marketing, managing sponsorship contracts between AT&T and numerous entertainment venues, NCAA athletics departments, and MLB and NHL teams. Through this work, she honed a deep understanding of client priorities and how to deliver on their needs with precision and care.

Melaney holds a Business Degree from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas, where she excelled both academically and athletically as a member of the women’s basketball team. She was inducted into the Sterling College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020. She earned her M.Ed. in Sports Administration from Wichita State University. Though she cherishes her Kansas roots, Melaney has wholeheartedly embraced Texas—and Rockwall—as home.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Melaney is an active and engaged member of the Rockwall community. She is a member of National Charity League, Texas Pearl and will take on the VP of Communication for the chapter this coming term. She is also a former member and past President of Aspasians and served on the Rockwall Area Chamber Board of Directors. Melaney is a devoted mother to triplets and wife to Edward Loar, who shares her love of Rockwall, having grown up in The Shores community.
